We are a school offering specialist support for students with social, emotional and mental health needs. Our aim is to improve the life chances of young people for whom mainstream education has not so far been successful.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team at The Hub School as a Kitchen Assistant/Driver who will provide a crucial role in supporting the school to collect, prepare and serve high quality, nutritious food for our students.

This is a permanent position, working 10 hours per week term time only. The normal working hours will be between 12:00pm and 14.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Your actual salary will be £5,143.51 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is the summer holidays, you continue to receive the same payment that month.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an approachable, enthusiastic and flexible individual with a basic knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety. Ideally, the successful candidate will have undertaken relevant training in Food Hygiene and safety or be willing to undertake this training once in post.

The role involves the collection and transportation of meals from our school meals provider to our school site(s), therefore a full driving license is essential as is the ability to perform manual handling activities.
