Howden Church of England Infant School joined in 2023 and serves the Howden community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice for children aged 4 to 7.

We have an opportunity to join Howden C of E Infant School as a Level 1 Teaching Assistant.  You will work as part of our friendly and dedicated team, providing in-class support for a pupil with High – Level Special Educational Needs.

This is a full-time position for five days per week, between the hours 08:30am and 3.30pm Monday – Friday during the school term.  This is a fixed term position until 31/08/2025.   Your actual salary is £16.716.42 per annum.

What we are looking for?

Working under the direction of the Head of Inclusion, Safeguarding and Wellbeing/SENDCO, the ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of English and Maths and the ability to engage children in their learning.  It is important that candidates are caring, have a calm and patient manner, work well as part of a team and can act using their own initiative.

We are looking for individuals who are engaging and versatile, with experience of working with young people. We’re also looking for the following: You will hold a Teaching Assistant Level 1 qualification or equivalent, and preferably have experience of working in a similar role.
