Apprentice Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our SEND team.  You will work as a teaching assistant under the instruction and guidance of teaching/senior staff, whilst training towards completion of the Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard. Working mainly in the classroom with a teacher, to support access to learning for SEND pupils and those with other barriers to learning, providing general and specific assistance to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

The working hours are 30 hours each week between the hours of 8:30am to 3:15pm Monday to Friday during the school term.  You will also be paid for an additional an additional 30 hours per year in the school holidays.  Your actual salary is £15,836.58 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is the summer holidays, you continue to receive the same payment that month.  If you are interested in working on a part time basis, please get in touch and we are happy to explore this further with you.
