I always wanted to be a teacher and working for TEAL has been immensely rewarding both within my own school and in other settings across the Education Alliance as we all seek to enhance the lives of young people.  I am grateful that TEAL has provided me with wide-ranging opportunities over a number of years from the development of remote learning strategies and working along side ECTs as part of the great team at YWTT; to curriculum leadership and being part of the senior leadership team at The Snaith School under 2 amazing head teachers – learning from others at every opportunity.  I have the opportunity to work with exceptional colleagues and brilliant students every day all whilst being afforded the time to engage in my own professional development and maintain a healthy work-life balance.  

TEAL have afforded me the opportunity to work in and lead a wide variety of areas across school including strategic IT in addition to my work with curriculum at The Snaith School.  This has allowed me help enhance the provision of both, learn new skills and to support colleagues in curriculum delivery whilst enhancing my own knowledge as I learn new skills and gain new insights from others.  Working in such a varied environment has been exciting, developmental and worthwhile, especially when you see the positive impact on the lives of students and young people.    I have worked in TEAL schools since an being an NQT in 2004 and firmly believe that TEAL  have given me every opportunity to grow professionally and personally from an NQT, to a successful head of department and most recently in senior leadership working with school and TEAL leaders.  I am proud to continue to be a small part of team TEAL.
