The Hub School

I feel extremely privileged to be the Executive Headteacher of The Hub School and would like to welcome you to our school website. The ethos of our school community is a culture of support, where we recognise and respect that we are all different, and this should be celebrated and supported.

I was appointed Headteacher at the school in April 2019 and have led the school through a period of significant change and improvement. I have had 10 years’ experience of Senior Leadership in mainstream secondary schools before my passion for inclusion led me to The Hub School. Since joining The Education Alliance, I have extended my role to Director of Inclusion across the Trust, supporting schools in our Trust aim to make great schools happier, stronger communities so that people have better lives. I truly believe that schools should be about supporting the development of young people in all areas of life and education should play a vital role in preparing young people for the world we live in, both now and in the future.

All staff have a shared vision and commitment to ensuring children at our school receive exciting learning opportunities and the knowledge and skills to adapt to the fast-changing world we live in. I am passionate and committed to our school’s core values of respect, responsibility, resilience and relationships; students are encouraged to live these values in all aspects of school life.

As parents and carers, you have a vital role in the education of your children; we actively encourage close collaboration between home and school. I know you have high aspirations for your child’s educational achievements and look forward to developing a successful partnership that will support you in achieving this and help in making your child’s time at The Hub School both happy and successful.
