We are a school offering specialist support for students with social, emotional and mental health needs. Our aim is to improve the life chances of young people for whom mainstream education has not so far been successful.
Find Out MoreWe are seeking to appoint a passionate and highly effective pastoral leader who will work within our team of staff providing for vulnerable young people.
The successful candidate will work with our small, friendly pastoral team, who in collaboration with parents and other professional’s, lead on providing our pupils with exceptional pastoral care and support to help them overcome barriers to learning, particularly those experienced by pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.
The working hours are from 08:30am to 16:00pm Monday to Friday during the school term. As part of your contractual arrangements, you will be paid for an additional 35 hours per year to attend team meetings and training and development that sit outside of your normal working hours.
Your actual salary will be £24,727 per annum, and this will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.

What are we looking for?
We seek someone with experience of working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs (particularly SEMH), who possesses the skills, knowledge and motivation to be able to make a difference.
The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, a relevant level 3 qualification as well as good working knowledge and understanding of barriers to learning and experience of implementing strategies appropriate to learners with SEMH
